I wrote this song based on the beautiful prayer attributed to Moses from Numbers 6 in early 2013 while working on Orcas Island, Washington. It was written fairly quickly but I was not able to get the arrangement and recording of it set for some time. What you hear in the finished version are two variations - the opening chant and then the song in tempo with Brian’s whistle melody - put together. The final touch was the little piano set up which was written and recorded while at Laity Lodge with the crickets blasting away outside the Cody Center.
